Community Walkabouts
Walkabouts are a great opportunity to get out and about in
the community and build positive relationships with
customers and partner agencies.
Our Housing Officers take the lead organising the walkabouts
inviting others to get involved.
We usually hold 2 walkabouts per area every year, to
promote community engagement and help organisations
work together to improve local concerns.
Walkabouts are great when customers get involved as
this can help identify any issues such as:
Anti-social behaviour
Community issues
Overgrown gardens and fly-tipping
Need for potential investment
Repairs to grounds and communal areas
If we knock on your door, it's to chat and listen to your
views about your community and neighbourhood. Building
positive community relationships is important to bdht.
What did customers say?
Customers were positive about their homes,
neighbourhoods and our services.
Some customer would like to see an improvement in the
cleaning of windows within the communal areas. We have
a program to clean windows.
Parking can be difficult.
Upgrade of Communal Areas

place to upgrade communal areas over
the next few years.

Maintence contract this year and will
carry out consultation with all of our
